Psychotherapy, therapy or counseling are all ways of referring to psychological services that help people reach their full potential. Most of the time, people know what kind of therapy they are looking for including individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, family therapy or group therapy. Couch Conversations psychotherapists will conduct an initial phone consultation to get a picture of the stressors you are experiencing and provide a recommendation for what type of therapy would most suit your needs. 

 

After the initial phone consultation, you will meet with your Couch Conversations psychotherapist either in person or via video conferencing call. Your therapy might be in an individual format (one-on-one), together with your partner, with one or more family members, or in a group psychotherapy setting. Sometimes, you might start individually and later have a session with a partner or family member or go from meeting a therapist for couple’s counseling, and meeting with one of our other therapists for individual therapy.
